On June 6, 2005, Ed "Zeke" Volker gave permission to Eric Vandercar for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Subject: Permission granted to host Ed Volker (aka zeke) shows on the LMA
The question came up as to whether we can host Ed Volker's solo shows on the
LMA. Ed is the keyboardist and one of the lead vocalists of the Radiators.
And he writes an abundance of their songs and many more that have never
heard the light of day. So I posed the question to him as follows:
"Ed,
Does the same policy prevail on your solo shows as for the Radiators? And
therefore is it ok for the live music www.archive.org to host your shows for
folks to download? It's all free, meaning the music is not sold, so you
don't make money and no one else makes money off your music. If you are ok
with that, I will let the administrators as well as fans know. Thanks and
have a good memorial day,
ev"
... I would suggest the abbreviation for his shows be
zeke as that is his (affectionate) nickname....
Thanks,
Eric

Below is the Radiators' policy for reference:
STATEMENT TO MP3 SITE OPERATORS
The Radiators and our managing organizations have long encouraged
the purely non-commercial exchange of music taped at our concerts and
those of our individual members.
That a new medium of distribution has arisen - digital audio files being
traded over the Internet - does not change our policy in this regard.
Our stipulations regarding digital distribution are merely extensions
of those long-standing principles and they are as follow:
-No commercial gain may be sought by websites offering digital files of
our music, whether through advertising, exploiting databases compiled
from their traffic, or any other means.
-All participants in such digital exchange acknowledge and respect the
copyrights of the performers, writers and publishers of the music.
-This notice should be clearly posted on all sites engaged in this
activity.
-We reserve the ability to withdraw our sanction of non-commercial
digital music should circumstances arise that compromise our ability
to protect and steward the integrity of our work.
